Baseball For All
Coaches have the power to make a real impact in players' lives. So please put us in, even though we're girls. We love the game of baseball just as much as the boys.
My friends and I helped with this film last July at the Girls Baseball National Tournament in California. I think the filmmakers and creatives on the team did a great job in capturing how we feel when we play. I pitched that last ball to my friend Kendra Levesque (Number 1) one cold and foggy San Francisco night.
I'm looking forward to meeting old friends and new at the upcoming Girls Baseball Nationals in San Francisco. Despite the game being "America's national pastime" more than 99% of players are male. I deeply admire and respect the women and girls who choose to play, coach and umpire baseball, in the face of persistent and deeply rooted gender bias.
Last summer I had the opportunity to play on the same Baseball For All team as Kelsie Whitmore. We played against Australia down in LA.

I have played at several tournaments, made great friends and experienced amazing things because of Justine's hard work, and the organization that she started, Baseball For All.
